• Carrie Opaska

    Carrie Opaska is originally from the North Hills of Pittsburgh and earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. She has devoted her most of her career to the field of Medical Social Work, with a primary focus on geriatrics. For many years, Carrie has worked extensively in rehabilitative and long-term care facilities, where she has developed a passion for supporting older adults and their families through the challenges of aging, recovery, and life transitions.

    In her practice, Carrie values a compassionate, person-centered approach, emphasizing dignity, respect, and advocacy for each individual in her care. She is committed to building strong, trusting relationships with patients and their families, working collaboratively to navigate complex medical and emotional needs. Her goal is to enhance quality of life, promote independence when possible, and provide comfort and support through every stage of care.

    While her primary expertise is with the geriatric population, Carrie’s work has also included supporting individuals of all ages. She has experience addressing issues such as adjustments and transitions, grief and loss, depression and anxiety, relationships and conflicts, abuse and neglect, and end-of-life support to name a few.

    Outside of her professional life, Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband and their blended family of six children. She lives locally.
